We invite you in this program, led by Ms. Buthaina Al-Khulaifi, to discover the ease and joy of bringing nature into your home through organic gardening. The program is designed for women interested in home gardening and organic farming in the Arabian Gulf context, and is suitable for both beginner and intermediate levels.

1. To enable participants to understand the principles and advantages of organic farming.
2. To familiarize participants with the characteristics of the Gulf climate and how to adapt to it agriculturally.
3. To learn how to prepare soil and homemade organic fertilizers.
4. To provide practical application in cultivating seasonal plants suitable for the region.
5. To promote a culture of sustainable agriculture and home-based self-sufficiency.
Day 1: Introduction and Fundamentals of Organic Farming
The concept of organic farming and its health and environmental benefits.
Differences between conventional and organic farming.
Characteristics of the Gulf climate and its agricultural challenges.
Selecting suitable plants (seasonal vegetables, herbs, and flowers).
Identifying basic requirements for soil, seeds, and other resources.
Practical Activity: Preparing an organic soil mix, planting seeds and seedlings.
Day 2: Organic Nutrition and Plant Care
Types of organic fertilizers (compost, compost tea, animal manure, vermicompost).
How to make organic fertilizer at home.
Proper irrigation.
Identifying agricultural pests and natural methods of controlling them.
Practical activity: Preparing compost tea and experimenting with spraying it on plants; making an organic spray for prevention.
Day 3: From Planting to Harvesting and Sustainability
Plant growth stages and pre-harvest care.
Harvesting seeds for future seasons.
The concept of Closed-Loop Agriculture (Zero Waste Garden).
Sustainability tips and planning for planting seasons.
Practical activity: Designing a suitable gardening corner at home.
