About this Program

This retreat is designed for university students aged 17–24.

University is a season of growth, important decisions, and discovering who you are becoming. Along the way, you may find yourself navigating uncertainty, balancing competing priorities, wondering what comes next, and trying to bridge the gap between good intentions and meaningful action.

This retreat offers a dedicated space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most while building meaningful connections and a sense of sisterhood with others navigating the same stage of life. Through guided discussions, interactive activities, and personal reflection, you will explore how to make thoughtful decisions, approach uncertainty with tawakkul (trust in Allah), manage your time and priorities with intention, and develop the character and practical skills needed to navigate university life with confidence and purpose.

Led by Dr. Jinan Yousef and Elizabeth Wood, the retreat brings together complementary perspectives on spiritual grounding and personal development, inviting you to reflect on the relationship between effort and trust, intention and action, and how your daily choices can align more closely with the values and aspirations you hold.

Throughout the retreat, you will have the opportunity to:

- Reflect on your values, priorities, and the person you aspire to become.

- Explore practical approaches to decision-making, navigating uncertainty, and cultivating tawakkul.

- Develop habits and practical skills that support intentional living, effective time management, and personal growth.

- Build meaningful connections and experience a sense of sisterhood within a community of Muslim university women.

- Leave with greater clarity, practical next steps, and personal commitments to help bridge the gap between intention and action.
