About this Program

Register now for Level 2 of “Qur’anic Arabic for Non-Native Speakers”, a program designed to develop non-native speakers’ ability to read, understand, and analyze the language of the Qur’an while reducing their reliance on translation.

The program takes an applied approach, introducing Arabic vocabulary and grammar through examples drawn exclusively from the Qur’an.

This is achieved through:
1. Practical sessions in which participants discuss, analyze, and understand Qur’anic verses, exploring both the functions of different grammatical structures and their meanings in context.
2. An introduction to the literal and metaphorical meanings of Qur’anic vocabulary and how these meanings vary across different Surahs.
3. Training in the use of online resources that support accurate pronunciation and a clearer understanding of the Qur’an.

- The present tense verb, its conjugation, and the Five Verbs.

- Negation of the present tense, including the subjunctive and jussive moods, and how different particles affect time, meaning, and the interpretation of Qur’anic verses.

- The imperative form, its formation, and its functions in different Qur’anic contexts.

- Demonstrative pronouns in the singular, dual, and plural, and their relationship to number and gender.
