About this Program
Juzʾ ʿAmma Program is part of Al-Mujadilah’s strategy to offer a holistic and integrated Qur’anic experience that revives the various levels of engagement with Qur’an and puts into practice the Prophetic approach to receiving the Qur’an. The program brings together sound recitation, understanding the meanings of the Qur’an, reflecting on its verses, mastering its memorization, drawing upon its guidance, and acting upon it—fulfilling the purpose for which the Qur’an was revealed and strengthening its connection to the life and lived reality of Muslim women.
The program follows an integrated methodology that combines understanding, reflection, tajwīd, correct recitation, and precise memorization. Participants practice reciting the verses correctly in accordance with the rules of tajwīd and reflect on the meanings, purposes, and guidance of the surahs, alongside memorization and review.
Through this approach, the program seeks to foster an enduring companionship with the Qur’an—one that extends beyond recitation and memorization to reflection and practice, so that the Qur’an becomes present in every aspect of daily life.
In the third part of the program, we continue studying Juzʾ ʿAmma, from Sūrat al-Balad to Sūrat al-Nabaʾ.
Through this methodology, participants experience the surahs of Juzʾ ʿAmma through reflection, understanding, recitation, and memorization. Each participant will have memorized as much of Juzʾ ʿAmma as she is able, with a clear understanding of its meanings and confidence in its recitation.
- Enable participants to reflect on the surahs of Juzʾ ʿAmma and develop a sound overall understanding of their meanings.
- Equip participants with the ability to recite correctly in accordance with the foundational rules of tajwīd.
- Establish an appropriate level of memorization grounded in understanding rather than rote learning alone.
- Develop participants’ confidence in recitation and oral participation.
