About this Program

Join us for an integrated Qur’anic journey—beginning with accurate recitation and pronunciation, deepening through understanding and reflection, and culminating in its true blessings: purification of the soul and refinement of character.

Centered on Surah Al-Hujurat, the program explores the qualities and ethics of the believer. This surah imparts essential guidance for daily life—from proper conduct before Allah and His Messenger ﷺ to ethics, mutual respect, and the bonds of faith. Participants will discover how Islam shapes human relationships, safeguards dignity, and nurtures flourishing communities.

This program forms part of Al Mujadilah’s strategic theme, which examines the Islamic social vision for the well being of individuals and communities.

- Recitation: Correcting the articulation and characteristics of Arabic letters and applying foundational Tajweed rules.

- Tadabbur: Understanding the verses and relating them to their context and the overall purpose of the Surah.

- Tazkiyah: Drawing a formative lesson from each passage and translating it into daily conduct.

The program aims to:

- Correct participants’ recitation and improve their pronunciation of the Qur’an.

- Build a conscious relationship with the Qur’an founded on understanding, not recitation alone.

- Cultivate proper conduct in personal and social relationships through the guidance of the Surah.

- Deepen attentiveness and spiritual presence with the Qur’an, both during and beyond prayer.

- Establish Tadabbur as a consistent daily practice.

By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

- Recitation: Recite the Qur’an correctly while applying foundational Tajweed rules.

- Tadabbur: Derive meaning from a verse and relate it to its context with less reliance on direct explanation.

- Tazkiyah: Identify one personal lesson from each session, record it in “Reflections with the Qur’an,” and apply it in daily life.

- Linguistic awareness: Develop an initial appreciation of the beauty and precision of Qur’anic word choice.

- Consistent practice: Build a daily connection with the Qur’an, even if through a single verse.

Muna Hassan Mustafa

Mona Hassan Mostafa is a da‘iyah (Islamic educator and outreach specialist) at Qatar’s Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs. She has 20 years of experience in Qur’anic education and Islamic outreach across several countries.
