Dr. Heba Hammouda is an Assistant Professor of Applied Linguistics and Translation. She has more than twenty years of teaching experience in the Middl e East and the USA where she has taught Arabic as a Foreign Language and English as a Second Language as well as specialized courses of Linguistics at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Prior to joining Al Mujadilah Center, Dr. Hammouda has worked for HBKU College of Islamic Studies since 2020 as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Arabic Language and Culture. She also taught at Alexandria University in Egypt, Beirut Arab University, and different language institutes in the USA. Moreover, she is a professional translator and interpreter who has worked for a number of international organizations. Dr. Hammouda is especially interested in contrastive linguistic research and error analysis of L2 students.
