About this Program

Join us in this program aimed at deepening the process of thoughtful reflection through a study of the proverbs contained in the Holy Qur’an. The program is based on an applied, analytical approach to texts that takes Qur’anic proverbs as articulate representations of faith-based truths and divine universal laws, unlocking new possibilities for reflection on the major themes addressed by the Qur’an so that Muslims become more connected to revelation as they contemplate their intellectual reality. The program highlights the rhetorical, educational, and intellectual dimensions of proverbs, and how meanings are constructed through them and truths are brought closer, with an emphasis on making the Qur’an a living and direct reference for understanding, contemplation, and interaction with reality. It also seeks to cultivate an intellectual habit that makes examining Qur’anic proverbs a gateway to understanding central themes such as Tawhid, faith, the world and the hereafter, truth and falsehood, and human behavior. The lessons collectively address the meaning and functions of proverbs in the Qur’an, as well as the methodology for examining them, and reflect on a selection of Qur’anic texts containing proverbs.
