About this Program

Al-Mujadilah introduces weekly programming for girls and boys aged 7 to 10 to kick start their Qur’anic learning and deepen their understanding of Islam.

Growing with the Qur’an welcomes children of all levels, with no prior experience required. Seats are limited to 10 students to foster a supportive and personalized learning experience.

The program follows a Halaqah-style format to ensure each child actively participates, confidently asks questions, and engages with their peers for meaningful learning. Students will explore:

Tilawah (recitation), Tajweed (eloquent Qur’anic pronunciation), and Hifth (memorization)

Stories from the Holy Qur’an

Prophetic Akhlaq (morals and character)

Growing with the Qur’an will also include regular short quizzes to support tracking each child’s knowledge and progression.

By the end of the program, students will:

Develop foundational skills in Hifth and Tajweed of the Holy Qur’an

Build confidence in reading, recitation, and the skills to engage with the Qur’an

Gain a deeper understanding of Qur’anic stories and their important lessons for their personal development

Be able to apply Prophetic Akhlaq (morals and character) in daily life

Foster a love for their faith, Islamic knowledge, and lifelong learning

Meet our Instructor

Imam Ahmed Al Qattani

Ahmed Al-Qattani is an experienced imam with over 10 years of service in Qur’anic education, community leadership, and spiritual guidance. Holding an Ijazah from Al-Azhar in Qur’an, certified by Sheikh Mustafa Al Nabawi, and further training in Tajweed under Sheikh Dukaaly Alim, Imam Al Qattani has a deep understanding of Qur’anic pronunciation and interpretation. Previously, he served as Imam at Wrexham Islamic Cultural Centre, where he led daily prayers, Jumm’ah Khutbahs and prayers, Eid prayers, and funeral ceremonies.
