Focus areas
At Al-Mujadilah, four focus areas inform all our learning, research, and community initiatives.
Focus areas
Engaging the Islamic tradition
Through our research initiatives, we examine how the Islamic intellectual tradition developed over time and how it can speak to Muslim women today.
Building spaces for community and learning
Through spaces that bring together religious learning, spiritual formation, and intellectual inquiry, we create opportunities for women to deepen their knowledge in community with other Muslim women.
Shaping conversations that matter
Through public programs, partnerships, and classes, we help Muslim women contribute thoughtfully the issues and questions that affect our collective future.
Creating platforms for Muslim women
From Riwaq and research grants to our podcast and educational programs, we create platforms for Muslim women to engage critically with the past and help imagine possible futures.
